SR26,1,2 1Relating to: recognizing Alexis Deignan for her selection as Miss American
2Sweetheart.
SR26,1,53 Whereas, Alexis "Lexie" Deignan is a resident of the Town of Washington in Eau
4Claire County and a 3rd-grade student at Immaculate Conception School in Eau
5Claire; and
SR26,1,7 6Whereas, the Miss American Coed Pageants were created to "encourage and
7reinforce the confidence and natural beauty that is within each girl"; and
SR26,1,108 Whereas, in July 2003 Lexie participated in the Miss Wisconsin Sweetheart
9division (ages 7 to 9) of the Wisconsin American Coed Pageant at Wisconsin Dells and
10was named Miss Wisconsin Sweetheart; and
SR26,1,1311 Whereas, in November 2003 Lexie represented Wisconsin at the Miss American
12Sweetheart pageant at Orlando, Florida, where she had the opportunity to meet
13many new friends; and
SR26,1,1514 Whereas, Lexie was judged on her commitment to family, academics, and
15community, as well as her poise, personality, and appearance; and

1Whereas, Lexie was named Miss American Sweetheart and will hold that title
2through November 2004; now, therefore, be it
SR26,2,5 3Resolved by the senate, That the Wisconsin senate congratulates Alexis
4Deignan and her parents, Jim and Lin Deignan, on her accomplishments; and, be it
5further
SR26,2,7 6Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution
7to the Deignan family.
