1An Act to create 16.40 (24) and 20.505 (1) (fe) of the statutes;
relating to: a
2grant for construction of the State Fire Fighters Memorial and making an
3appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the State Fire Fighters Memorial, located in the city of
Wisconsin Rapids, is the official memorial to honor all fire fighters of this state who
have given their lives in the public service. Under current law, the memorial receives
no state funding.
This bill appropriates $350,000 in general purpose revenue to provide a grant
to the Wisconsin State Fire Fighters Memorial, Inc., for construction of the memorial.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
