AB658,1,2 An Act to amend 346.57 (4) (gm) of the statutes; relating to: maximum speed limit.

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau

Under current law, the maximum speed of travel on a freeway or expressway is 65 miles per hour. This bill reduces the maximum speed to 55 miles per hour on a freeway or expressway.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB658, s. 1 Section 1. 346.57 (4) (gm) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB658,1,5 346.57 (4) (gm) Sixty-five Fifty-five miles per hour on any freeway or expressway.
