Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law directs each school district's school attendance officer to annually
determine how many pupils enrolled in the school district were absent in the
previous year and whether the absences were excused and to notify the Department
of Public Instruction of his or her determination.
This bill eliminates this requirement.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
