AB939,1,3 1An Act to repeal and recreate 119.23 (2) (a) 6. of the statutes; relating to:
2requirements for teachers and administrators employed by a private school
3participating in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program.

Beginning July 1, 2006, current law requires all teachers employed by a private
school participating in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) to have a
high school diploma.
This bill requires all teachers employed by an MPCP school to have at least an
associate degree or be enrolled in a program leading to at least an associate degree,
and all administrators employed by an MPCP school to have at least four years of
post-secondary education.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB939, s. 1 4Section 1. 119.23 (2) (a) 6. of the statutes, as created by 2005 Wisconsin Act

, is repealed and recreated to read:
AB939,2,26 119.23 (2) (a) 6. All of the private school's teachers have at least an associate
7degree or are enrolled in a program leading to at least an associate degree, and all

1of the private school's administrators have at least 4 years of post-secondary
2education.
