AJR49,1,53 Whereas, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Michael Scott, at the age of 28, was
4killed during combat on May 26, 2005, after his OH58 Kiowa helicopter came under
5attack and crashed in Buhriz, Iraq; and
AJR49,1,7 6Whereas, Joshua Michael Scott was assigned to the Army's 1st Squadron, 17th
7Cavalry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and
AJR49,1,108 Whereas, Officer Scott started out as a light vehicle mechanic in South Korea
9and Germany, and he quickly worked his way up the ranks and served in the 2nd
10Ranger Battalion; and
AJR49,1,1211 Whereas, Officer Scott was a graduate from the Warrant Officer course and
12flight school; and
AJR49,1,1413 Whereas, Officer Scott enlisted in the Army immediately after graduating from
14Sun Prairie High School in 1995, and was deployed to Iraq in 2004; and

1Whereas, Officer Scott was an exceptional soldier who always tried to achieve
2the highest of standards and therefore received many awards for his service to the
3United States; and
AJR49,2,54 Whereas, Officer Scott provided an outstanding example to his family: wife,
5Sherri, sons Kenneth and Kross, and daughter Trynity; and
AJR49,2,76 Whereas, Officer Scott will always be remembered for his bravery and courage
7and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
AJR49,2,11 8Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
9Wisconsin legislature honor Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Michael Scott for his
10dedication to this country and express their heartfelt sorrow over the loss of his life;
11and, be it further
AJR49,2,14 12Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
13resolution to Officer Scott's wife, Sherri Scott; his mother, Catherine Scott; and his
14sisters, Beverly Scott and Melissa Scott.
