SB265,1,2 1An Act to amend 230.35 (1) (a) 1. to 4. of the statutes; relating to: paid vacation
2leave for certain nonrepresented state employees.

Nonrepresented state employees who are subject to the minimum wage and
overtime requirements under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act are entitled to
80 hours of paid vacation each year for a full year of service during the first 5 years
of service; 120 hours each year for a full year of service during the next 5 years of
service; 136 hours each year for a full year of service during the next 5 years of
service; 160 hours each year for a full year of service during the next 5 years of
service; 176 hours each year for a full year of service during the next 5 years of
service; and 200 hours each year for a full year of service after 25 years of service.
This bill increases the paid vacation hours for nonrepresented state employees
who are subject to the minimum wage and overtime requirements under the federal
Fair Labor Standards Act, providing that such employees are entitled to 104 hours
each year for a full year of service during the first 5 years of service; 144 hours each
year for a full year of service during the next 5 years of service; 160 hours each year
for a full year of service during the next 5 years of service; 184 hours each year for
a full year of service during the next 5 years of service; 200 hours each year for a full
year of service during the next 5 years of service; and 216 hours each year for a full
year of service after 25 years of service.
Represented state employees continue to have their annual paid vacation hours
determined by the collective bargaining process.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
