SB350,1,2 1An Act to amend 703.105 (title) and 703.105 (2); and to create 703.105 (1m) of
2the statutes; relating to: displaying political signs in condominiums.

Under current law, no condominium bylaw or rule or provision in a
condominium declaration or deed may prohibit a unit owner from respectfully
displaying the United States flag, although a bylaw or rule may regulate the size and
location of flags and flagpoles.
This bill provides that no condominium bylaw or rule or provision in a
condominium declaration or deed may prohibit a unit owner from displaying a
political sign in his or her condominium, although a bylaw or rule may regulate the
size and location of political signs.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB350, s. 1 3Section 1. 703.105 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB350,1,4 4703.105 (title) Display of the United States flag and political signs.
SB350, s. 2 5Section 2. 703.105 (1m) of the statutes is created to read:
SB350,2,26 703.105 (1m) No bylaw or rule may be adopted or provision included in a
7declaration or deed that prohibits a unit owner from displaying in his or her

1condominium a sign that supports or opposes a candidate for public office or a
2referendum question.
SB350, s. 3 3Section 3. 703.105 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB350,2,54 703.105 (2) Notwithstanding sub. subs. (1) and (1m), bylaws or rules may be
5adopted that regulate the size and location of signs, flags and flagpoles.
