2005 - 2006 LEGISLATURE
February 14, 2006 - Introduced by Senator Schultz, cosponsored by
Representative Albers. Referred to Committee on Housing and Financial
Institutions.
SB601,1,2 1An Act to create 101.02 (22) of the statutes; relating to: information designated
2on standard building permits concerning the use of insulating concrete forms.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) must prescribe
standard building permit forms for various types of construction, including new
construction of one- and two-family dwellings. The bill requires that on these forms
Commerce must provide a designation to indicate whether insulating concrete forms
are being used in the construction of the building for which the permit is issued. The
bill defines an "insulating concrete form" to be a hollow expandable polystyrene form
that is filled with concrete.
For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be
printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB601, s. 1 3Section 1. 101.02 (22) of the statutes is created to read:
SB601,1,54 101.02 (22) (a) In this subsection, "insulating concrete form" means a hollow
