SJR23,1,42 Whereas, Kenneth J. Clasen died April 27, 2005, after serving the people of the
3suburban Milwaukee area for over four decades in varying grassroots positions
4within the Republican Party; and
SJR23,1,65 Whereas, Kenneth J. Clasen served as chair of the Wauwatosa Republican Club
6and as leader of the Republican Conservative Movement; and
SJR23,1,97 Whereas, Kenneth J. Clasen served on the 1976 and 1980 Wisconsin
8Committee to Elect Ronald Reagan and was active in the Southwest Milwaukee
9Suburban Republican Party; and
SJR23,1,1310 Whereas, Kenneth J. Clasen served for 12 years as the Fourth Congressional
11District chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party and was a leader in reforming the
12party and in drafting the Fourth Congressional District Republican Party's and the
13Milwaukee County Republican Party's constitutions; and

1Whereas, Kenneth J. Clasen helped to reinstate the endorsement process at the
2Wisconsin Republican conventions, thereby reinstating intrigue and excitement to
3the convention; now, therefore, be it
SJR23,2,6 4Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
5Wisconsin legislature commend the life of Kenneth J. Clasen, express sorrow at his
6death, and extend condolences to his family and friends.
