SJR84,1,32 Whereas, Robert A. Anderson, a loving father, grandfather, and great
3grandfather, was a proud and active citizen of the city of Milwaukee; and
SJR84,1,54 Whereas, Robert A. Anderson graduated from Milwaukee's Pulaski High
5School; and
SJR84,1,76 Whereas, Robert A. Anderson served in the United States Army during World
7War II, stationed in the Pacific theater; and
SJR84,1,98 Whereas, he worked as an engineer at Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company for more
9than 2 decades; and
SJR84,1,1110 Whereas, "Fighting Bob" Anderson served the citizens of the 13th Aldermanic
11District of the city of Milwaukee for 32 years; and
SJR84,1,1312 Whereas, Robert Anderson will always be known as a true champion of the
13people by those he represented; and
SJR84,1,1514 Whereas, Robert Anderson served the citizens of Milwaukee as president of the
15Milwaukee Common Council from 1980 to 1984; and

1Whereas, Bob Anderson retired from the common council in 1996 after 3
2decades of zealous, plain-spoken advocacy on behalf of his constituents; and
SJR84,2,53 Whereas, Robert Anderson is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia, and devoted
4children, Dennis Anderson, Suzanne Slaby, Kathleen Amrhein, and John Anderson;
5and
SJR84,2,76 Whereas, Bob Anderson is widely respected as a statesman, a family man, and
7friend, whose leadership and dedication will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
SJR84,2,11 8Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
9Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service Robert A. Anderson
10contributed to his community, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their
11condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
SJR84,2,14 12Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
13resolution to Mr. Anderson's wife, Sylvia, and to his children, Dennis Anderson,
14Suzanne Slaby, Kathleen Amrhein, and John Anderson.
