Whereas, "Fighting Bob" Anderson served the citizens of the 13th Aldermanic
11District of the city of Milwaukee for 32 years; and

Whereas, Robert Anderson served the citizens of Milwaukee as president of the
15Milwaukee Common Council from 1980 to 1984; and

2decades of zealous, plain-spoken advocacy on behalf of his constituents; and

Whereas, Robert Anderson is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia, and devoted
4children, Dennis Anderson, Suzanne Slaby, Kathleen Amrhein, and John Anderson;

Whereas, Bob Anderson is widely respected as a statesman, a family man, and
7friend, whose leadership and dedication will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it

8Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
9Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service Robert A. Anderson
10contributed to his community, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their
11condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further

12Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
13resolution to Mr. Anderson's wife, Sylvia, and to his children, Dennis Anderson,
