This senate resolution provides that the daily sessions of the senate and the
meetings of its committees end no later than midnight and prohibits the senate and
its committees from meeting or conducting business between midnight and 8 a.m.
The resolution also prohibits senate members of committees and other bodies from
meeting or conducting business on such a committee or other body during that
period.

SR9, s. 1 6Section 1. Senate rule 14 (title) is repealed and recreated to read:
SR9,1,7 7Senate Rule 14 (title) Daily sessions; convening, adjournment.
SR9, s. 2 8Section 2. Senate rule 14 is renumbered senate rule 14 (1).
SR9, s. 3 9Section 3. Senate rule 14 (2) is created to read:

1Senate Rule 14 (2) The daily session of the senate ends at midnight unless
2adjourned earlier. The senate may not meet or conduct business during the hours
3between midnight and 8 a.m.
SR9, s. 4 4Section 4. Senate rule 25 (3) is created to read:
SR9,2,9 5Senate Rule 25 (3) Meetings of committees end at midnight unless adjourned
6earlier. Committees may not meet or conduct business during the hours between
7midnight and 8 a.m. Senate members of committees or other bodies may not be
8present at or participate in a meeting of or participate in the conduct of business by
9the committee or other body during the hours between midnight and 8 a.m.
