SR1,1,1 1Relating to: the life and public service of Dr. Krishna Chintamaneni.
SR1,1,32 Whereas, Dr. Krishna Chintamaneni was the medical director of the intensive
3care unit and chief of staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-St. Francis; and
SR1,1,74 Whereas, Dr. Chintamaneni, known professionally as "Doctor Neni,"
5specialized in the care of critically ill patients and was a pioneer in introducing to
6Milwaukee hospitals procedures and equipment to better assess and treat the needs
7of critically ill patients; and
SR1,1,128 Whereas, Dr. Chintamaneni earned a medical degree in his native India and
9moved to the United States with his wife, Kumari, who is also a doctor. After
10completing their residencies in Chicago, the Chintamanenis moved to Milwaukee in
111987 and joined the staffs at St. Francis Hospital and Aurora St. Luke's Medical
12Center; and
SR1,2,213 Whereas, Dr. Chintamaneni was known not only as a highly praised physician,
14but also as an inspirational teacher who took pleasure in the opportunity to share
15his knowledge, and to be a mentor for physicians, nurses, and other colleagues. His

1expertise as a physician was matched by his compassion for and dedication to his
2patients and their families, and to his fellow workers at the hospital; and
SR1,2,43 Whereas, Dr. Chintamaneni was also equally dedicated to his wife, his son
4Kathan, and his daughters Smitha and Preethi; and
SR1,2,75 Whereas, Dr. Chintamaneni's death was a significant loss not only to his family,
6friends, and coworkers, but also to the entire community which will miss his expert
7care, teaching, compassion, and friendship; now, therefore, be it
SR1,2,10 8Resolved by the senate, That the Wisconsin senate hereby commemorates
9the remarkable life of Dr. Krishna Chintamaneni and extends its deepest
10sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues.
