This bill prohibits attaching a radio frequency identification tag to or
embedding a radio frequency identification tag in a document, including U.S.
currency.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB141, s. 1 3Section 1. 995.51 of the statutes is created to read:
AB141,1,5 4995.51 Radio frequency identification tags in documents. (1) In this
5section:
AB141,1,66 (a) "Document" includes U.S. currency.
AB141,1,87 (b) "Radio frequency identification tag" means a device encoded with a unique
8serial number that receives or transmits a signal over radio waves.

1(2) No person may attach a radio frequency identification tag to or embed a
2radio frequency identification tag in a document.
