AB284,1,2 1An Act to amend 23.175 (2) (a) of the statutes; relating to: naming the state
2trail system.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, state parks are either named in the statutes or are named
by the state legislature. The state park system consists of all of the state parks and
a system of the state trails. This bill names the state trail system the "Aldo Leopold
Legacy Trail System."

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB284, s. 1 3Section 1. 23.175 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB284,1,74 23.175 (2) (a) Designate a system of state trails as part of the state park system
5for use by equestrians, bicyclists, riders of electric personal assistive mobility
6devices, cross-country skiers or hikers. The state trail system shall be named the
7"Aldo Leopold Legacy Trail System."
