AB625,1,2 1An Act to create 120.13 (18m) of the statutes; relating to: authorizing a school
2board to construct or acquire a renewable resource facility.

The bill authorizes a school board to construct or acquire a renewable resource
facility and to use the energy generated by the facility or sell it at wholesale.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB625, s. 1 3Section 1. 120.13 (18m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB625,2,24 120.13 (18m) Renewable resource facilities. Construct or acquire, borrow
5funds to construct or acquire, own, operate, and maintain a renewable resource
6facility, and use the energy generated by the facility for school district facilities or sell
7the energy generated by the facility at wholesale, if the school board's share of the
8installed capacity of the facility does not exceed 5 megawatts and the school board

1incorporates information about the facility in its curriculum. In this subsection,
2"renewable resource" has the meaning given in s. 196.374 (1) (j).
