AJR116,1,32 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn was born on May 23, 1910, in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
3and died on February 29, 2008; and
AJR116,1,54 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn graduated from Green Bay West High School and
5attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison; and
AJR116,1,76 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn married Ellen Hollister on September 24, 1945, and
7celebrated 57 years of marriage before her death in 2003; and
AJR116,1,88 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn was owner of a real estate investment business; and
AJR116,1,119 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn served on the Green Bay city council for 16 years,
10the Brown county board for six years, and the Green Bay school board for four years;
11and
AJR116,1,1312 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn was elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1954,
13serving in the 1955 to 1973 sessions; and
AJR116,1,1514 Whereas, Jerome F. Quinn served under six Wisconsin governors and was chair
15of the assembly business and manufacturers committee; and

1Whereas, during his tenure in the legislature, Mr. Quinn coauthored the
2highway bonding bill and sponsored bills to create the University of
3Wisconsin–Green Bay, to allow counties to have full-time executives, and to allow
4cities to create industrial parks; and
AJR116,2,95 Whereas, after leaving the legislature, Jerome F. Quinn was appointed by
6Governor Tommy Thompson to the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and
7Licensing where he served in the Design Section of the Examining Board of
8Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers and Land Surveyors; now, therefore,

AJR116,2,13 10Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
11Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Jerome F. Quinn
12contributed to this state and to his community, express their sorrow at his death, and
13extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR116,2,16 14Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
15resolution to Mr. Quinn's children, Michael Quinn, Kevin Quinn, and Dr. Teresa
16Quinn.
