2Wisconsin-Whitewater.
AJR38,1,53 Whereas, June 2007 will mark the end of Bob Berezowitz's illustrious 22-year
4career as coach of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks football team;
5and
AJR38,1,76 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz began his head coaching duties with the University
7of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1985; and
AJR38,1,118 Whereas, throughout his distinguished career, Bob Berezowitz led the
9University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks to 158 wins, the third highest
10victory total in the history of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
11(WIAC); and
AJR38,1,1512 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz's accomplishments include coaching eight WIAC
13Championships, with five National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) playoff
14appearances, and two appearances in the NCAA Division III championship game;

1Whereas, Bob Berezowitz was honored as American Football Coaches
2Association (AFCA) Division III National Coach of the Year in 2005, AFCA Regional
3Coach of the Year four times, Wisconsin College Coach of the Year two times, and
4WIAC Coach of the Year seven times; and
AJR38,2,85 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz has been elected to the University of
6Wisconsin-Whitewater Athletics Hall of Fame, National Association of
7Intercollegiate Athletics District 14 Hall of Fame, and Wisconsin Football Coaches
8Association (WFCA) Hall of Fame; and
AJR38,2,109 Whereas, through his expertise and leadership, Bob Berezowitz has coached
10young men to all-American honors 64 times; and
AJR38,2,1211 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz was selected to be a coach for the AFCA All-Star
12Team to compete against international competition in Japan; and
AJR38,2,1713 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz was an Associated Press Small College All-American
14quarterback who led the UW-Whitewater football team to a second place finish in
15the 1966 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) championship,
16giving him the unique distinction of having played and coached in the national
17championship game; and
AJR38,2,1918 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz was honored by Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle who
19proclaimed Saturday, November 4, 2006, as Bob Berezowitz Day; and
AJR38,2,2220 Whereas, Bob Berezowitz coached his last game for UW-Whitewater on
21Saturday, December 16, 2006, in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the NCAA Division
22III Championship; and
AJR38,2,2523 Whereas, the legacy Bob Berezowitz will leave behind in the memories of his
24staff, players, and fans, will serve as an example of leadership and dedication for all
25who follow; now therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
2Wisconsin legislature do hereby congratulate and thank Bob Berezowitz on his 22
3years of hard work and great achievements serving the state of Wisconsin as coach
4of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks football team and wish him
5a happy and productive retirement.
