2Jesse Bryon Albrecht.
AJR58,1,63 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht was born September 11, 1975, in River Falls and
4died May 17, 2007, in the service of his country, in Iskandariya, Iraq, when an
5improvised explosive device detonated near the vehicle in which he was traveling;
6and,
AJR58,1,117 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht of Hager City, Wisconsin, a paratrooper in the
8725th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division,
9United States Army, based in Fort Richardson, Alaska, proudly and faithfully served
10the people of the state of Wisconsin and the United States of America with distinction
11and honor in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and,
AJR58,1,1412 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht made the ultimate sacrifice for his country to
13protect our freedom and way of life while advancing the blessings of liberty and
14democracy to the Iraqi people; and,

1Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht is survived by his wife Crystal Albrecht, daughter
2Salena Albrecht, mother Denise Albrecht, father William Pollei, and many other
3friends, family, loved ones, and fellow soldiers; and,
AJR58,2,54 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht was known as a kind, compassionate man who
5would go out of his way to help others; and
AJR58,2,76 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht had a passion for camping, four-wheeling,
7snowboarding, and salmon fishing in his free time; and,
AJR58,2,118 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht enlisted in the United State Army in 1993 and
9underwent his basic training between his junior and senior years of high school, and
10graduated from Prescott High School in 1994 where he was a member of the
11wrestling team; and,
AJR58,2,1312 Whereas, Sergeant Albrecht will forever look down upon us like the eagles he
13so deeply admired; now, therefore, be it
AJR58,2,18 14Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
15Wisconsin legislature honor Sergeant First Class Jesse Bryon Albrecht for his
16dedication and sacrifice to our country, express their heartfelt sorrow over the loss
17of his life, and extend their condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues; and,
18be it further
AJR58,2,21 19Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
20resolution to Sergeant Albrecht's wife Crystal Albrecht, daughter Salena Albrecht,
21mother Denise Albrecht, and father William Pollei.
