1Relating to: creating a committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40, the
2executive budget bill of the 2007 legislature.

3Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That, upon the adoption
4of this joint resolution by the assembly and concurrence therein by the senate and
5notwithstanding joint rule 3, there is created a committee of conference on 2007
6Senate Bill 40, relating to state finances and appropriations, constituting the
7executive budget bill of the 2007 legislature, to reconcile the differences between the
82 houses and to present its report on the bill to the 2 houses; and

9Be it further resolved, That, notwithstanding joint rule 3 (1), senate rule
1020m, and assembly rule 3 (1) (j):

(1) The committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 shall consist of 4
12members from each house, with 3 members from each house representing the
13majority party in that house and one member from each house representing the
14minority party in that house.

1(2) (a) The senate members of the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill
240 representing the majority party shall be appointed by the president of the senate
3and the senate member representing the minority party shall be appointed by the
4senate minority leader.

(b) The assembly members of the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill
640 representing the majority party shall be appointed by the speaker of the assembly
7and the assembly member representing the minority party shall be appointed by the
8assembly minority leader.

(3) The report by the committee of conference on 2007 Senate Bill 40 must be
10supported by the votes of at least 3 of the 4 members representing each house.
