SJR78,1,43 Whereas, Bruce Munson began his career in October 1977 as an assistant
4revisor of statutes in the Revisor of Statutes Bureau; and
SJR78,1,65 Whereas, Mr. Munson succeeded Orlan Prestegard as revisor of statutes in
6January 1990; and
SJR78,1,87 Whereas, Bruce Munson retired as the revisor of statutes on December 31,
82007; and
SJR78,1,119 Whereas, as revisor of statutes, Mr. Munson, with the assistance of his staff,
10implemented many innovations including the posting of the Wisconsin Statutes on
11an electronic bulletin board, the precursor to the Internet version; and
SJR78,1,1412 Whereas, due to the limited space on the electronic bulletin board, the statutes
13were published on a new medium, the CD-ROM, beginning with the 1989 statutes;

1Whereas, the revisor's bureau implemented cost-saving measures in
2publishing the Wisconsin Statutes; and
SJR78,2,53 Whereas, commencing in 1993, the revisor's bureau revised the publishing and
4printing of the Wisconsin Administrative Code to provide for easier use and printing;

SJR78,2,86 Whereas, the revisor's bureau has worked closely with the Legislative
7Technology Services Bureau to format the administrative code for incorporation into
8a searchable database; and
SJR78,2,109 Whereas, after commencing the searchable database for the code, the statutes,
10acts, and supreme court rules were also added to the database; and
SJR78,2,1311 Whereas, throughout his career, Bruce Munson conducted himself with
12integrity, dignity, and professionalism, and served the legislature and state
13government with honor and distinction; now, therefore, be it
SJR78,2,16 14Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
15Wisconsin legislature commend Bruce Munson on his career, dedication,
16accomplishments, and service to the citizens of Wisconsin; and be it further
SJR78,2,18 17Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
18resolution to Bruce Munson.
