SJR85,1,42 Whereas, Tracy was born on June 21, 1977, in Chippewa County, and died on
3November 1, 2007, of injuries sustained from enemy actions in Shubayshen, Iraq;
4and
SJR85,1,65 Whereas, Tracy grew up in New Auburn, Wisconsin, and was an avid barrel
6racer; and
SJR85,1,97 Whereas, Tracy was a 1995 graduate of Chetek Wisconsin High School and
8went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in
9graphic design; and
SJR85,1,1210 Whereas, Tracy worked as a graphic design artist and a certified nursing
11assistant at a nursing home until she enlisted in the United States Army in January
122006; and
SJR85,1,1513 Whereas, Tracy served with distinction in the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry
14Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat team, 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell,
15Kentucky, and was on her first tour of duty in Iraq; and

1Whereas, Tracy's family and friends are very proud of her service and know she
2died in honor and courage, doing what she wanted to do by serving her country; and
SJR85,2,53 Whereas, Tracy embodied the Army's core values of loyalty, duty, respect,
4selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal service and she will be sorely missed;
5now, therefore, be it
SJR85,2,8 6Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
7Wisconsin legislature commend the remarkable life of Tracy Lynn Alger, express
8sorrow at her death, and extend their condolences to her family and friends.
