June 16, 2009 - Introduced by Representatives Black, Hebl, Turner, Jorgensen
and Clark. Referred to Committee on Judiciary and Ethics.
AB322,1,3 1An Act to repeal 19.48 (8); and to amend 19.55 (1) of the statutes; relating to:
2identification of individuals who examine statements of economic interests
3filed with the Government Accountability Board.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Currently, whenever an individual requests to examine or copy either a
statement of economic interests that has been filed by a state official or employee
with the Government Accountability Board or the list of persons who inspect those
statements, the individual must provide his or her full name and address and the full
name and address of any person the individual represents. The board must then
provide the full name and address of any individual who inspects or copies a
statement, and the full name and address of any person the individual represents,
to the person who filed the statement.
This bill deletes these requirements.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB322, s. 1 4Section 1. 19.48 (8) of the statutes is repealed.
AB322, s. 2 5Section 2. 19.55 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
