AJR133,1,32 Whereas, Norman L. Myhra was born on February 17, 1925, in Amherst,
3Wisconsin and died on January 16, 2009, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin; and
AJR133,1,64 Whereas, Mr. Myhra was educated in public schools in Portage County and
5attended high school and a general business course at Milwaukee Vocational School;
6and
AJR133,1,87 Whereas, Mr. Myhra was a World War II veteran, serving valiantly and with
8great sacrifice in the Army Infantry from 1943 to 1945; and
AJR133,1,109 Whereas, Mr. Myhra was first elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1960,
10representing Portage County, serving in the 1961 through 1965 sessions; and
AJR133,1,1211 Whereas, during his tenure in the legislature, Mr. Myhra was chairperson of
12the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee; now, therefore, be it
AJR133,2,2 13Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
14Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Norman L. Myhra

1contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and
2extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR133,2,4 3Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
4resolution to Mr. Myhra's wife, Margaret, of Stevens Point.
