AB258,1,2 1An Act relating to: requiring the Department of Corrections to increase
2participation in work release and treatment programs.

This bill requires the Department of Corrections to increase by 200 in each year
of the 2011-13 fiscal biennium, in a county having a population of 750,000 or more,
the number of participants in its work release program and the number of
participants in its treatment-based earned release program.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB258, s. 1 3Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB258,1,7 4(1) Work release; increases. The department of corrections shall increase, in
5a county having a population of 750,000 or more, the number of participants in a
6work release program under section 303.065 of the statutes by 200 in fiscal year
72011-12 and by 200 in fiscal year 2012-13.

1(2 ) Treatment program; increases. The department of corrections shall
2increase, in a county having a population of 750,000 or more, the number of
3participants in a program under section 302.05 of the statutes by 200 in fiscal year
42011-12 and by 200 in fiscal year 2012-13.
