AJR119,1,42 Whereas, William "Bill" Kiley was born on December 16, 1919, in Green Bay,
3Wisconsin, and died on January 31, 2012, in Plymouth, Wisconsin, at the age of 92;
4and
AJR119,1,75 Whereas, Bill Kiley married Elaine Kirchner in 1944 in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
6and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on February
715, 2011; and
AJR119,1,98 Whereas, Bill Kiley was first elected city alderman of Plymouth, Wisconsin, in
91962 where he served a total of 12 years; and
AJR119,1,1110 Whereas, Bill Kiley furthered his dedication to the city of Plymouth when he
11was elected mayor in 1982, a position he fulfilled for 24 loyal years; and
AJR119,1,1412 Whereas, Bill Kiley, in his tenure, organized the City's Revolving Loan Program
13to help companies locate to Plymouth, bringing job creation and prosperity to his
14beloved city; and

1Whereas, Bill Kiley's vision and commitment to serving his community
2originated the Downtown Committee for the improvement of downtown Plymouth,
3a program that became the still flourishing Plymouth Advancement Association; and
AJR119,2,104 Whereas, Bill Kiley served lovingly throughout the community in many
5capacities, including as the Boy Scouts Scoutmaster and Merit Badger Counselor,
6where he was awarded the St. George Award for dedication to youth in scouting; as
7a member of the Knights of Columbus in both Plymouth and Sheboygan; as a member
8of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where he chaired the Stewardship Fund
9Drive for many years; and as a volunteer at the ever-popular Road America; now,
10therefore, be it
AJR119,2,13 11Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
12Wisconsin legislature commend the life and service of William "Bill" Kiley, mourn his
13passing, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR119,2,15 14Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
15resolution to Bill Kiley's family.
