AJR126,1,53 Whereas, popular NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth of Roush Fenway Racing
4overcame overheating issues and radio problems as well as wet and sometimes fiery
5track conditions to win the 2012 Daytona 500; and
AJR126,1,86 Whereas, it was Matt's second time earning the checkered flag in "The Great
7American Race," NASCAR's biggest, richest, and most prestigious motorsports
8event, having previously won in 2009; and
AJR126,1,129 Whereas, Matt's road to victory began in Wisconsin, as he was born and raised
10in Cambridge, and he first competed in stock car events at Madison International
11Speedway, later establishing himself as a short track star at Slinger Super Speedway
12and Wisconsin International Raceway; and
AJR126,1,1413 Whereas, Matt has remembered his roots, and continues to operate a racing
14museum in Cambridge featuring cars and memorabilia from his career; and

4Wisconsin legislature do hereby commend Matt Kenseth for his great achievements,
5including his latest win of the Daytona 500, and wish him continued success in the
6future.
