2011 Assembly JOINT RESOLUTION 90

AJR90,1,3 Relating to: commending the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils on winning the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 football championship.

AJR90,1,6 Whereas, the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils won the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 football championship for the first time in their history; and

AJR90,1,8 Whereas, the Red Devils' offense during the championship game finished with 215 yards and 11 first downs and scored the only touchdown of the game; and

AJR90,1,10 Whereas, the Red Devils' defense during the championship game kept the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln team from scoring any points, leading to a 7-0 win; and

AJR90,1,13 Whereas, Coach Jed Kennedy and his staff laid a solid foundation and built a strong football program over the last five years, leading to Coach Kennedy being named 2011 Wisconsin Coach of the Year; and

AJR90,2,2 Whereas, The Red Devils overcame adversity and player injuries and with perseverance, determination, and teamwork brought deep pride to Bradford High School and the greater Kenosha area and finished the season 14-0; now, therefore, be it

AJR90,2,5 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature commends Coach Jed Kennedy, his staff, and the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils for their inspiring football season and historic state Division 1 football championship.
