This bill prohibits municipalities from providing to alcohol beverages retail
licensees any device capable of scanning a driver's license or identification card
issued by the Department of Transportation.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB535,1 4Section 1. 125.09 (7) of the statutes is created to read:
AB535,1,75 125.09 (7) Municipality providing identification scanners. No municipality
6may provide, to any retail licensee under this chapter, any device capable of scanning
7an official identification card, as defined in s. 125.085 (1) (a) and (b).
