AJR28,1,73 Whereas, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks gymnastics
4team achieved greatness in 2013, earning an overall season record of 20-4, and
5winning both the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference
6Championship and the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship;
7and
AJR28,1,98 Whereas, the gymnastics team also tied for the NCGA championship title in
92012 and won the WIAC title in 2010 and 2011; and
AJR28,1,1210 Whereas, the team has been led by a dedicated coaching staff, including Head
11Coach Jennifer Regan, Assistant Coach Ryan Bendixen, and Assistant Coach Allison
12Annala; and
AJR28,2,513 Whereas, the team has also benefited from the leadership and talents of many
14experienced student athletes, including Katie Thompson, NCGA's Outstanding
15Senior and North Central Gymnast of the Year, who finished second in the

1all-around competition and ended her career with a total of 12 All-American honors;
2Cici Talcott, who won the uneven bars, the sixth individual title in UW-Whitewater's
3history; Allyse Dieringer, who won the WIAC uneven bars title; Delina Phillips, who
4won the WIAC vault title; and Siri Wischmann, who was named the WIAC Scholar
5Athlete for Women's Gymnastics; and
AJR28,2,86 Whereas, the team has brought honor and positive attention to the University
7of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus and highlighted the sport of gymnastics; now,
8therefore, be it
AJR28,2,13 9Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
10Wisconsin legislature commend the Warhawks, the coaching staff, and the student
11athletes on earning the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference
12Championship and 2013 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship
13and wish them great success in all future endeavors.
