AJR35,1,32 Whereas, public works infrastructure, facilities, and services are of vital
3importance to the health, safety, and well-being of the people of Wisconsin; and
AJR35,1,64 Whereas, these facilities could not be provided without the dedicated efforts of
5public works professionals, engineers, and administrators of both state and local
6units of government; and
AJR35,1,97 Whereas, these individuals design, build, operate, and maintain public
8buildings, transportation systems, water supplies, sewage and refuse disposal
9systems, and other structures and facilities essential for serving Wisconsinites; and
AJR35,1,1210 Whereas, it is beneficial for citizens and civic leaders to learn about and
11maintain a progressive interest in the public works needs and programs of their
12communities; and
AJR35,1,1413 Whereas, the year 2013 marks the 53rd annual National Public Works Week
14sponsored by the American Public Works Association; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That May 19 to 25, 2013,
2shall be designated as "Public Works Week."
