AJR91,1,42 Whereas, Tucker Fredricks, a native of Janesville, Wisconsin, has secured a
3position on the United States Olympic long track speed-skating team for a third
4consecutive Olympic Games; and
AJR91,1,75 Whereas, Tucker Fredricks, born in Janesville in 1984, will seek to become the
6third straight American to win the Olympic 500-meter speed-skating event when
7he competes in the games at Sochi, Russia; and
AJR91,1,108 Whereas, Tucker Fredricks, the son of Dan and Shawn Fredricks of Janesville,
9finished twenty-fourth at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, and twelfth in the
10Games in 2010 in Vancouver, Canada; and
AJR91,1,1511 Whereas, Tucker Fredricks is a two-time national champion who won the
12overall World Cup title in the 500 meters in 2007 and again in 2010, took bronze in
13his event in the 2007 World Single Distance Championships, and has earned
14thirty-one World Cup medals in the 500-meter event, including twelve gold, six
15silver, and thirteen bronze since 2002; and

2Janesville, Wisconsin, holds the national record time in the 500 meters; now,

5expresses pride in the long and excellent speed-skating career of Wisconsin native
6Tucker Fredricks, honors his accomplishments in athletics on the world and national
7stages, and wishes him success and the best of luck in the XXII Olympic Winter
8Games in Sochi, Russia.
