Whereas, James Jeskewitz lived a life devoted to family, football, coaching, and
3teaching; and

Whereas, James was a standout football player at UW-La Crosse, and later
5signed a professional football contract; and

Whereas, James was a dedicated coach and teacher, leading the Menomonee
7Falls football team to 199 wins over 28 seasons and the 1976 WIAA State
8Championship; and

Whereas, James was named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame,
10the UW-La Crosse Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Menomonee Falls High School
11Hall of Fame; and

Whereas, after retiring from coaching and teaching, James continued to serve
13as a leader in his community as a village trustee for Menomonee Falls and as
14Waukesha County Board supervisor; and

2the Falls Fest Board, the Menomonee Falls and St. Agnes food pantries, the
3Menomonee Falls Scholarship Board, Leadership Menomonee Falls, and the

Whereas, James leaves behind his loving family, including former state
6representative Sue Jeskewitz, as well as his daughter Jayme, son Chad, and several
7grandchildren, and will be remembered as a man dedicated to improving his
8community; now, therefore, be it

10Wisconsin legislature join all Wisconsin residents in honoring the life and
11achievements of James Jeskewitz.
