This bill increases from three feet to ten feet the maximum height at which a
person may set or operate a trap or device built or used to capture birds on a pole,
post, tree stump, or any other elevated perch.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB631,1 3Section 1. 29.088 (2m) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB631,1,74 29.088 (2m) It is unlawful to take, capture, or kill or attempt to take, capture,
5or kill any bird by setting or operating any trap or device designed, built, or used to
6capture birds on a pole, post, tree stump, or any other elevated perch more than 3
710 feet above the ground.
