AB635,1,2 1An Act relating to: monitoring industrial sand mining and processing
2operations and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill authorizes eight full time equivalent positions to the Department of
Natural Resources for monitoring industrial sand mining and processing operations
and provides funding for those positions from the environmental fund.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB635,1 3Section 1. Fiscal changes.
AB635,2,54 (1) Industrial sand operation monitoring. In the schedule under section
520.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of natural
6resources under section 20.370 (3) (mq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2015,
7the dollar amount for fiscal year 2015-16 is increased by $446,800 to increase the
8authorized FTE positions for the department by 8.0 SEG positions for monitoring

1industrial sand mining and processing operations. In the schedule under section
220.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of natural
3resources under section 20.370 (3) (mq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2015,
4the dollar amount for fiscal year 2016-17 is increased by $893,600 to provide funding
5for the positions authorized in this subsection.
AB635,2 6Section 2. Effective date.
AB635,2,87 (1) This act takes effect on the day after publication, or on the 2nd day after
8publication of the 2015-17 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
