This bill requires the Department of Transportation to award a grant of
$885,000 in the 2015-17 fiscal biennium, from funds assigned to DOT's freight rail
infrastructure improvement program, to Wisconsin River Rail Transit Commission
for the repair of a bridge owned by WRRTC.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(a) The legislature finds and determines that the grant under paragraph (b
)
4confers a public benefit and enhances economic development.

(b) In the 2015-17 fiscal biennium, from the appropriation under section
620.395 (2) (bu) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the department of
7transportation shall award a grant of $885,000 to Wisconsin River Rail Transit
8Commission to fund the repair of Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad
9Bridge P-64-0038.

(c) The department of transportation may apply such reasonable terms,
11conditions, and monitoring to the grant under paragraph (b) as is consistent with
12paragraph (b) and the customary practice of the department for grants under section
1385.08 (4m) (d) of the statutes.
