AJR118,1,2 Relating to: honoring Wisconsin snowplow drivers and their tireless work in keeping Wisconsin drivers and roadways safe.

AJR118,1,5 Whereas, Wisconsin winters are routinely some of the most intense and severe winters in the country, with snow, sleet, and ice disrupting the day-to-day lives of every Wisconsin resident; and

AJR118,1,9 Whereas, with more than 100,000 miles of highways and streets in the state of Wisconsin, it is incumbent on our state's municipal and county highway workers to ensure our roadways remain as safe as possible, no matter the weather conditions; and

AJR118,1,13 Whereas, the 2,000 to 3,000 snowplow drivers work whenever they are called upon, under adverse weather conditions, to ensure that Wisconsin's roadways remain driveable for Wisconsin residents, tourists, and commerce passing through our state; and

AJR118,2,3 Whereas, many of these drivers are operating snowplows with years of experience and using their expertise to keep Wisconsin drivers and themselves safe while they plow our roads; and

AJR118,2,6 Whereas, snowplow drivers, in coordination with local units of government, use the most up-to-date technology leading up to substantial storms to keep our roadways driveable; and

AJR118,2,8 Whereas, these drivers, working around the clock, often put their own personal safety at risk to keep Wisconsin roads and highways open; now, therefore, be it

AJR118,2,13 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin State Legislature do hereby honor all of our state's snowplow drivers for their constant dedication to keeping our roadways safe for everyone while conducting their job with the utmost professionalism and dedication to safety on our state's roads.
