SB47,1,2 1An Act to create 6.86 (7) of the statutes; relating to: responding to a request
2for an absentee ballot.

Under this bill, a municipal clerk who receives a request for an absentee ballot
by mail, electronic mail, or facsimile transmission must respond to the request no
later than one business day after receiving the request.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB47,1 3Section 1. 6.86 (7) of the statutes is created to read:
SB47,1,64 6.86 (7) The clerk shall respond to a request for an absentee ballot sent by mail,
5electronic mail, or facsimile transmission no later than one business day after
6receiving the request.
