SB607,1,2 1An Act to create 301.28 (3) of the statutes; relating to: training for newly hired
2correctional officers.

This bill requires the Department of Corrections to ensure that each newly
hired correctional officer receives at least four weeks of on-the-job training.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB607,1 3Section 1. 301.28 (3) of the statutes is created to read:
SB607,1,64 301.28 (3) The department shall ensure that each newly hired correctional
5officer receives at least 4 weeks of on-the-job training with an experienced
6correctional officer.
