SB613,1,2 1An Act to create 302.075 of the statutes; relating to: staff required to be on duty
2at prisons.

Under this bill, a warden or superintendent of each prison must ensure that,
at that prison, at least one guard tower staff person is on duty in the guard tower and
one perimeter staff person is on duty at all times.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB613,1 3Section 1. 302.075 of the statutes is created to read:
SB613,2,2 4302.075 Certain staff required. The warden or superintendent of each
5prison shall ensure that at least one guard tower staff person is on duty in the guard
6tower and one perimeter staff person is on duty at all times. If a warden or

1superintendent violates the requirement under this section, the warden or
2superintendent shall submit a report to the joint committee on finance.
