SB760,1,2 1An Act to create 175.51 (3) and 343.252 of the statutes; relating to: referrals
2for subjects of alerts for missing adults and operator's license review.

This bill requires a law enforcement agency that has issued an alert for a
missing adult at risk, commonly known as a "Silver Alert," to refer the person making
the report to a local aging and disability resource center. This bill also requires the
Department of Transportation to review the driver's license of the person who is the
subject of such an alert to determine if restrictions should be imposed on the person's
license for the safety of the person or the public.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

5risk, the law enforcement agency shall refer the person making the report to a local
6aging and disability resource center.

1Section 2. 343.252 of the statutes is created to read:
SB760,2,7 2343.252 Review of licenses after missing adult alert. If an individual who
3is the subject of an report under s. 175.51 disseminated by a law enforcement agency
4has an operator's license, the department shall review that individual's operating
5privilege and impose restrictions under s. 343.13 as the department determines will
6protect that individual and public safety, including cancelling a license or an
7endorsement under s. 343.25.
