AB331,1,3 1An Act to amend 27.01 (7) (d) and 27.01 (8) (c) 2. of the statutes; relating to:
2the dates for which an annual vehicle admission receipt or an annual state trail
3pass are valid.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, no person may operate a vehicle in any state park or in
certain other recreational areas on state land unless the vehicle displays a vehicle
admission receipt. Current law requires the Department of Natural Resources to
issue an annual vehicle admission receipt that is valid for the calendar year for which
it is issued. Under this bill, an annual vehicle admission receipt must state the date
on which it is issued and is valid for one year after that date.
Under current law, DNR is required to issue an annual state trail pass that
authorizes admission to a state trail. Current law provides that an annual state trail
pass is valid for the calendar year for which it is issued. Under this bill, an annual
state trail pass must state the date on which it is issued and is valid for one year after
that date.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
