SB623,1,2 1An Act relating to: funding for county snowmobile trails and areas and making

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, $2,475,400 is appropriated each fiscal year in the 2019-21
fiscal biennium from the conservation fund as aid to counties for snowmobile trails
and areas, to cover costs such as purchasing land for trails, enforcing laws on trails,
developing and maintaining trails, and improving bridges on trails. This bill
increases the amount appropriated for this purpose each fiscal year to $5,475,400.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB623,1 3Section 1. Fiscal changes.
SB623,2,34 (1) Recreation aids - county snowmobile trail and area aids. In the schedule
5under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of natural resources
6under s. 20.370 (5) (cr), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2019-20 is increased by
7$3,000,000 for the purpose for which the appropriation is made. In the schedule
