AB136,1,2 1An Act to create 20.115 (3) (e) of the statutes; relating to: potato marketing
2board grant and making an appropriation.

This bill appropriates $250,000 in each fiscal year of the 2021-23 fiscal
biennium to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for the
purpose of providing a grant to the potato marketing board, also known as the Potato
Industry Board.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB136,2 1Section 2. 20.115 (3) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
AB136,2,42 20.115 (3) (e) Potato marketing board grant. The amounts in the schedule to
3provide the grants required under 2021 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section 3 (1). No
4moneys may be expended from this appropriation after June 30, 2023.
AB136,3 5Section 3 . Nonstatutory provisions.
AB136,2,116 (1) Potato marketing board grant. The department of agriculture, trade and
7consumer protection shall provide, from the appropriation under s. 20.115 (3) (e), a
8grant of $250,000 in fiscal year 2021-22 and a grant of $250,000 in fiscal year
92022-23 to the potato marketing board to meet one or more of the objectives of the
10board's marketing order, including market research and development, industrial
11research, and educational programs.
AB136,4 12Section 4. Effective date.
AB136,2,1413 (1) This act takes effect on July 1, 2021, or on the 2nd day after publication of
14the 2021 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
