2the Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway.

Under current law, certain highway routes and bridges have been designated
and marked to memorialize, commemorate, or recognize certain individuals, groups,
or events. This bill directs the Department of Transportation to designate and mark
STH 11 from the western border of the village of Orfordville to the eastern border of
the village of Footville as the “Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway.”

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB706,1 3Section 1. 84.10341 of the statutes is created to read:
AB706,2,5 484.10341 Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway. The
5department shall designate and mark the route of STH 11, commencing at the
6western border of the village of Orfordville and proceeding easterly to the eastern
7border of the village of Footville, as the “Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial

1Highway" in recognition of the sacrifice of Corporal Benjamin H. Neal, a proud
2member of the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade
3Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, who, on April 25, 2012, died
4from injuries caused by an improvised explosive device during Operation Enduring
5Freedom in Zharay, Kandahar Province in Afghanistan.
