Whereas, on Saturday, November 20, 2021, the University of Wisconsin-Eau
5Claire women's volleyball team, for the first time in program history, won the
6Division III National Title, defeating Calvin University 3-0 in St. Louis, Missouri;

Whereas, the Blugolds finished the season with a record of 35-3, winning the
9Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and the Wisconsin
10Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament title; and

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletic Department and
12campus as a whole fostered a positive environment and tremendous support and
13encouragement for the success of the women's volleyball team; and

Whereas, the members of the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
15women's volleyball team worked through immense adversity during the COVID-19
1pandemic, but accepted the challenges as an opportunity to learn and grow; now,

assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
4Wisconsin Legislature recognize the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
