AJR64,1,1 Relating to: commending the life of Representative Edward “Ed” Nager.

AJR64,1,3 Whereas, Edward Nager was born in 1927 in the Bronx, New York, and died on March 18, 2021; and

AJR64,1,6 Whereas, after Ed Nager graduated from City College of New York, he moved to Wisconsin where he received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School; and

AJR64,1,9 Whereas, after graduating law school, Ed Nager's legal career spanned from private practice to Assistant Dane County District Attorney to Milwaukee County Assistant Deputy Clerk of Courts to serving as a Milwaukee County judge; and

AJR64,1,10 Whereas, Ed Nager celebrated his 50th year of being an attorney in 2005; and

AJR64,1,13 Whereas, Ed Nager served in the U.S. Army Air Force and continued his love of flying after moving to Wisconsin by joining the UW Flying Club, for which he also served as president for several years; and

AJR64,1,14 Whereas, Ed Nager served on the Madison City Planning Commission; and

AJR64,2,3 Whereas, Ed Nager served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1965 to 1975, representing Madison in what was at the time the 78th District; now, therefore, be it

AJR64,2,6 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin Legislature recognize and commend the life of Representative Edward “Ed” Nager.
