2orderly and peaceful transfer of power called for in the Constitution of the
3United States.
AR7,1,64 Whereas, the United States is founded on the principle that our government
5derives its power from the consent of the governed and that the people have the right
6to change their elected leaders through elections; and
AR7,1,87 Whereas, our domestic tranquility, national security, general welfare, and civil
8liberties depend upon the peaceful and orderly transfer of power; and
AR7,1,119 Whereas, any disruption occasioned by the transfer of the executive power
10could produce results detrimental to the safety and well-being of the United States
11and its people; now, therefore, be it
AR7,2,2 12Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin State
13Assembly reaffirm their commitment to the orderly and peaceful transfer of power
14called for in the Constitution of the United States, and condemn any disruptions by

1the president or any person in power to overturn the will of the people of the United
2States.
