SB148,1,2 1An Act relating to: supplementary funding from the federal child care and
2development fund block grant.

Under this bill, federal Child Care and Development Fund block grant funds
received by the state under the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 are
credited to federal block grant appropriations, and the purposes for the expenditure
of those funds are subject to passive review by the Joint Committee on Finance.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB148,1 3Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB148,2,24 (1) Child care and development fund block grant funds. The federal Child
5Care and Development Fund block grant funds received under the federal
6Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, title III of division M of P.L. 116-260, shall
7be credited to the appropriations under s. 20.437 (1) (mc) and (md). No moneys

1credited under this subsection may be encumbered or expended except as provided
2under s. 16.54 (2) (a) 2.
