Under this bill, no state agency and no local governmental unit may restrict the
use or sale of a device based on the energy source that is used to power the device or
that is consumed by the device.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(3) Prohibitions based on energy source. No state agency and no local
7governmental unit may restrict the use or sale of a device based on the energy source
8that is used to power the device or that is consumed by the device. Under this
9subsection, a device is powered by an energy source or consumes an energy source
1if any significant function of the device uses that energy source or consumes that
2energy source to accomplish the function.
